The Great Escape Mark
is seventeen. He lives in
Los Angeles in a run-down apartment. He
left school when he was in 4th year.
The reason he quit school was because he wanted to be a mechanic. He shares the apartment with his friend Steve.
He is always borrowing money from people and he spends it
gambling on car racing so he is in a lot of debt.
He is looking for a full time job as a mechanic to pay for his
debts. But when he tells
them that he quit school when he was in 4th year, they don't want to
hire him. One day he was
walking down the road when he saw a car with the door open.
He decided to hotwire it and he drove it around the block.
Then someone challenged him to a race. The
car he stole was a Saab. The
race was to the car- park at the other side of the City. On Sunday at 7 30a. m. there was not much traffic on the
road. The race started when
a man waved the green flag. He
was driving so fast that he put his foot on the brakes he almost crashed
into the road works signs. He
leaped out of the car. He
noticed an oil tanker ahead. He
dashed towards the oil tanker. The
driver had gone into the bakers for a doughnut.
Mark leaped into the opened oil tanker.
The oil tanker could only go ninety miles per hour.
Mark started the oil tanker and drove quickly away.
He reached Mexico. He
went into a shop in Mexico City. He
bought a can of coca-cola and a box of cigarettes out of the money in
the truck. Everybody was
looking at him suspiciously. He
then strolled out of the shop. On
his way out of the shop he heard sirens blaring.
The shopkeeper rang the "Mexican Police Department.
Mark leapt into the truck and drove off to Acapulco. On
the way he stopped at a few garages to sell some oil.
He made $500,000 out of the oil and $ 50,000 for the tanker.
Out of some of the money he bought a 2000 BMW.
It was black and had leather seats.
He then went to Acapulco. He
gambled $100,000 and he won $150,000.
He then headed back to Los Angeles away from all the police.
