For our school trip we went to America. We left for the plane at 6.a.m. We were three hours on the bus, so we arrived at Dublin airport at 9 o' clock a.m. We were waiting at the airport for one hour because the flight was delayed. After half an hour, we were all fed up. Eventually, we were called for our flight. Fifteen minutes later we were on the plane. After a while, the airhostess came around with sweets and drinks and then she told us to put on your seatbelts for take off. We were watching a film and it was so boring that we fell asleep. We were asleep on the plane for nearly six or seven hours and when we woke up we were nearly there. After about a half an hour we were told to put on our seatbelts again for landing. We landed at J.F.K. airport in New York with a soft landing. When we got off the plane we were way behind time so we had to change the time on our watches.

We shuffled patiently from one foot to the other while waiting for our bus to come. We were cranky after our sleep on the plane. The teachers were annoyed because the flight was delayed. The head teacher was fuming because our bus picked up another school. She had to order another bus. Unfortunately, the only bus that wasn't ordered was a tour bus of New York! We arrived at Forest Land hotel at 7:30pm - just in time for dinner. They wouldn't serve us the main course! So we just had salad sandwiches and chicken soup. After our snack, we headed for the reception and collected our room keys. We unpacked our suitcases and went to bed. We woke to the smell of our breakfast being cooked. After our breakfast, we got ready to go to the WorldWide Fun Park! We went on the rides straight away. There were large fast rides and small whizzing rides. By the end of the evening, there was only one ride left. It was the best of all. It was a Ghost Town Ride. We cued for a quarter of an hour. Finally, it was our turn. We got into the cart. Next thing we heard a heart stopping screech! We turned around and saw Richard disappearing into the coffin behind our cart!!!!!!

………..We screamed and shouted, "Help!" The ride suddenly stopped on top of a slanted hill. The cart broke in half. Three carts went in reverse and the other three went forward, unlucky for us the headmaster was in the first cart and they went forward. They got to the end of the ride and told the supervisors what happened. Next thing he saw Richard and the rest of the pupils laughing and talking about how good the ride was. He asked us how did we get back and we said we went in reverse. We left for our hotel at 9:00p.m. Next we went to the Statue of Liberty. We got a lift to the top and the view was amazing. The people looked like insects. We had to leave for Ireland the next day. We got on the plane and it took us 7 hours. When we got to Dublin we got a bus home and we went to bed straight away. As I was going to sleep, I thought to myself "What a holiday!"
