Treasure Chest  

I was strolling slowly along Ballydehob beach. I fell and grazed my head off of a sharp rock. I stood up dizzily. I peered around anxiously, to see who pushed me.  There was nobody in sight.  The person couldn't have gone far in that space of time.  Maybe they hid somewhere. I heard a loud bang and suddenly moist fog surrounded me.  I found myself in damp and pitch black. I staggered helplessly through the darkness of the cave. I went on and suddenly stopped, for I heard a humming noise.  The humming noise was coming from the back of the cave.  As I followed the noise got louder.  Then I fell over something.  It was very damp.  It seemed it was here for years.  Light suddenly burst out of the damp object. I went to the front of it.  It was full of sparkling Gold. I looked at all the gold and wondered.  Maybe pirates left it here?  Something else caught my eye. I gave it a tug and fell backwards.  It was a magic lamp!  There was a blue jewel in the centre of it. I rubbed it gently.  The humming noise started again.  A beam of Blue light shot out.  It was a genie!!! .....................

It granted us three wishes - the first one was to be rich & famous.  The second one was to own an island.  These all came true and I was delighted. I kept this entire top secret and nobody ever knew about him.  One day when I was living on the Island, there were sharks surrounding the island. I had one wish left but I couldn't find the lamp. I suddenly remembered that I had left it on the boat; yet if I went out to the boat the sharks would attack me. I waited for a few hours and the sharks were still there.  The only way for me to get off the island was to kill all the sharks.  I cut down some trees & sharpened them and turned them into spears. I kept on making more of them.  The sharks knew I was up to something strange and they didn't like it....

It was getting dark so I gathered wood and built myself a hut.  Then I lit a fire to keep me warm and I went to sleep.  The next morning when I got up I went out to gather some food.  I gathered enough to last me a few days.  After I ate I got the spears that I had made and threw them at the sharks.  I killed three of the sharks but one of them got away.  After a few days I decided to swim for the boat because I realised that I would die anyway on the island so I said I would take a chance.  I was waiting for the shark to leave.  It was over three hours later before he left.  I was starting to get hungry but I didn't have time to eat.  I remembered that I put some food on the boat so I was very happy about that.  I left immediately I was very near the boat when I saw the shark.  I swam as fast as I could but the shark was way too fast for me.  It was right beside me now and just as it was about to bite me I woke up.  It had all been a dream.  I was very relieved when I woke up in my bed.
