Newmarket Boys National School was built in
1970 and is an all-boys school, situated at the West End of
Newmarket. Newmarket is in the Duhallow area of North Cork.
We
have over 120 pupils from infants to sixth class. We have 5 teachers, 1
remedial teacher and after Easter we will have a resource teacher. We have 5 classrooms with around
23-30 pupils in every room.
We have a
library and a gym where we have Physical Education (P.E.), and we go there twice
a week. There's a yard behind our school in which we play at break
times. Sometimes, when it is dry, we play in the pitch. Every year
the best footballers are selected to represent the school football team.
